My small business consultancy services in North Wales are designed to help business owners identify problems, plan effectively, and move forward with confidence. I work closely with start-ups and established small businesses, providing tailored advice, strategic support, and practical solutions based on decades of hands-on business experience.

The business consultancy process begins with me visiting you at your premises, or other suitable location and taking the time to fully understand your business model inside and out. I believe that effective business advice and support can only be given when I have a clear, detailed understanding of how your business actually operates in practice. During an in-depth face-to-face consultation, I spend about half a day or however long it takes discussing with you your day-to-day operations, current challenges, decision-making processes, financial pressures, longer-term goals, and any other business issues you wish to discuss. This stage is about listening, questioning, and gaining clarity, allowing me to build an accurate picture of your business as it really is. This thorough approach ensures that the business guidance, advice, or support I provide is relevant, realistic, and tailored specifically to your particular business. A different set of eyes, looking at your business, may spot things that you have missed.

“As a small business owner, it was important to me to deal with one person throughout the process. Andy spent several hours getting to know my business properly and the follow-up support made a big difference when I had questions later. I felt supported, not sold to.” — Local Start-Up Founder, North Wales

Step 2: Practical Business Advice & A Written Summary
Once I have a full understanding of your business, the focus moves to providing clear, practical business advice, guidance, and help designed to improve performance, efficiency, and profitability. Drawing on over 30 years of real-world business experience, I identify opportunities for improvement, highlight potential risks or inefficiencies, and discuss realistic options for growth and development. After the consultation, I dedicate time to analysing everything we have discussed and preparing a tailored written summary. This document clearly outlines key discussion points, practical recommendations, suggested actions, and guidance on what changes could or should be implemented. The written summary is specific to your business, easy to understand, and designed to give you ongoing clarity and direction as you move forward. This report is sent via email to you as a PDF file to read over and digest. We can then arrange an online discussion or a phone call to discuss any relevant points you may have.

“This wasn’t a quick meeting or a generic review. Andy genuinely wanted to understand my business and offered practical advice that made sense for my situation. The whole process felt personal, professional, and good value for money.” — Retail Business Owner, Gwynedd
