My Experience

 

After completing a business degree in 1996, I decided self employment was the way forward for me as I knew that I have never wanted to work for someone else. Since that time I have created, built, expanded and sold several businesses. Some more successful than others, but you learn from your mistakes.

I have used my 30 years of real-world business ownership to create a no-nonsense approach to help small businesses and start-ups grow faster and reach their full potential.

Recruitment, Training & Team Building:

Logistics, Packaging & International Trade:

  • Extensive logistics experience, managing shipments from small parcels to large, fragile goods overseas, including the export of over 300 vehicles worldwide

  • Successful selection of cost-effective and reliable shipping and courier solutions

  • Highly knowledgeable in packaging solutions, including custom packaging and insurance, ensuring products arrive safely and professionally

  • Development of a wide network of international, professional contacts in China, Turkey, Thailand, Japan, Malta, Germany, Canada, the USA and beyond

Business Operations & Strategy:

  • ​Skilled in spotting gaps in the market and uncovering inefficiencies within existing businesses to improve profitability

  • A clear understanding of UK business regulations, legal requirements, and tax compliance

  • Experience of both software-based and traditional accountancy systems for filing and managing business finances

  • Competent in streamlining processes to reduce overheads, increase revenue and support sustainable growth

  • Highly developed negotiating and trust building skills enabling high-value business transactions to be agreed via phone or e-mail

  • An in-depth understanding of motor vehicles and the automotive industry, from exporting vehicles around the world to making the selection and purchase of practical vehicles to meet the business needs
