Frequently Asked Questions

Q1. Isn’t Business Wales free? Why should I pay you?

Yes, Business Wales is a free government service — and it’s a decent starting point for general advice. But what NWBC offer is very different: you get personal, one-to-one help focused entirely on your business. I visit you, look at your setup, gather as much information as possible, and give you practical recommendations that you can act on. There’s no waiting list, no generic templates, and no ticking boxes for a government programme — it’s all about getting your business moving faster.

Q2. Why should I pay 50% in advance:

Because each consultation is tailored specifically to your business, I begin work long before we actually meet — analysing your business sector and preparing possible recommendations. The 50% deposit covers that early-stage work, transport and shows we are both invested in the process.

⸻

Q3. How do I know I’ll get value for money?

My advice comes from 30 years of experience running real businesses — not from theory or training manuals. Every client receives clear, practical actions that lead to savings, better systems, recommendations, and all sorts of other advice. The aim is simple: the value you gain should outweigh what you spend. I have made my programs as affordable as possible. I know money is tight these days, especially when it comes to starting or running a new business in the early months.

⸻

Q5. Are there hidden costs?

No. Each program is a fixed price agreed in advance. What you see is what you pay — no extras or surprises. No upselling either.

⸻

Q6. Can you work alongside Business Wales support?

You will find that personal contacts and face-to-face meetings can be difficult to arrange with Business Wales. You can use their free online resources which have lots of basic advice, but I can provide the practical, hands-on follow-up.

⸻

Q7. What’s the best way to get started?

Have a read through the website for a full understanding as to what I offer and then get in touch using the contact form to discuss further.
